I bought a couple AOpen MP45 barebone kits for a project.
I am not in a hurry to buy the other parts as I am waiting on deals to pop up; however, I have not decided on the specific componants yet. I would however, like to narrow my choices on the cpu and ram so I can more easily watch for good deals. One big factor will be whether or not overclocking is possible.
- Does anyone know if these systems have the bios settings necessary to do modest overclocking of the cpu?
- If so, what cpus in the mobile-lineup give a good bang-for-the-buck when overclocking?
- If overclocking is not possible, I am leaning toward a T5750 (2GHz, 2MB) for around $100. Any better (cost-effective) suggestions for under $150?
- Also, is anyone aware of a good, inexpensive cpu-cooling upgrade that will work for this compact setup?
