Got an ati 2900gt today and having some issues with overclocking it.
For starters, I knew that in order for overdrive to get activated I needed to plug a 8 pin power connector to it. Since I didn't have one I went with a 6 pin one knowing I would not be able to overclock it it, at least using overdrive.
Card installed, drivers (8.12 cats) installed, everything working fine, no problems in my games. Then I peeked into gpu-z and I saw that it was running 510 core and 511 memory (1022 effective) while the defaults should be 600 core and 800 memory (1600 effective). Initially I thought its because of lack of 8-pin power. I normally wouldn't mind not being able to overclock but having an underclocked card was not something that pleased me to say the least.
Next step was to ground the 2 remainning power pins on the card to trick it into thinking I'm using an 8-pin one. Easily did so, fired up no problems and overdrive got enabled. Now I'm facing this:

Even with overdrive enabled its stuck at ~510 core/memory. RivaTuner/AMD GPU tool didn't make any difference and ATI Tool won't even work (I guess doesn't support the 2900gt).
Any information/help would be much appreciated guys. Thanks in advance.
