Beyond the cheaters though, I did enjoy the games that didn't have a hacker/aimbot in it. Those weren't many, but there were some. I have footage of me doing very well in those instances. Although the game revolved a bit too much around which team could get the Q's up more often and coordinate their team work on those Q's more than anything else really.
Your Hearthstone luck must be leaking into Overwatch, because I
really don't recall seeing many matches where I thought people were just unbelievably good. The only times I really had those sort of situations were when I watched the kill cam to see that the enemies had Wall Hacks (Widowmaker's ultimate) up. Of course, I'm not trying to say that cheating never happens, but I don't recall seeing it.
Out of curiosity, does it look like I'm cheating in
this video? Of course, I'm not actually cheating (I don't do that sort of thing), but my movements are definitely different than normal. I think that was just one of those moments when I was "in the zone" and reacting rather than thinking. (That's how I pegged that Torbjorn so quickly.)
Still, I enjoyed playing darn near every character in the game. Only zenyatta was the champ I felt a bit underwhelming compared to any other champ due to being a support that can't heal himself.
Mercy can't heal herself either. Now, before you say, "But Mercy has built-in regeneration!", keep in mind that Zenyatta's health is divided among 50 health and 100 shields. That means that after 3 seconds of not taking damage, his shields will be able to regenerate. Mercy has the exact same rule for her automatic regeneration.
I do feel like they need more to the game. A co-op story line would certainly see me buying the game because I have zero interested in the hacker fest that MP brings to these games.
I really don't like Blizzard's stance on the Overwatch story. In the Gamespot video, their stance was pretty much, "We're going to give you the basics and let the rest remain a mystery!" Now, let me translate BlizzSpeak™ for you... "We're going to barely flesh out this story so we can push our lore-loving players to buy books, graphic novels, videos, etc. Someone get ol' Knack on the line!" They do make some videos and comics, but I've thought that the majority of them were pretty lackluster. The only comic that I enjoyed was Reinhardt's and I did like today's Shimada (Genji and Hanzo) video. It's just
really hard for them to top the original announcement cinematic.
Just wondering where did you guys pre purchased the game? And how much? To people who purchased the game outside Blizz did the company you bought it of said you will get the key on the 23rd or 24th? Just curious.
I bought the collector's edition from Amazon. I'm assuming that my game will still be delivered on the 24th.
EDIT:
Actually, the game will be arriving on May 23rd according to this Amazon e-mail...
