I bought an anti virus program from Amazon.com on 11-30-07 and filled out the rebate form tonight. I've got the form, envelope, and the receipt on hand, and take the box downstairs to cut out the UPC and the "K" on the side of the box. Why they want the "K", I don't know...

Things are good up to this point..

I cut out both the UPC and the "K" from the box and set them on the table. My pair of Burmese cats are sitting on the table waiting to be fed. I turn around to put up the box knife, and on my way back to the table, my little one is running the other way...

Here's where things go south...

The "K' and the little cat are nowhere to be found...

Before it even starts...

1. I have the receipt, the box, the UPC, the envelope, and everything that came with the purchase, except the G'damn "K".
2. My cat is a known thief.
3. No, I am not lying.
4. Yes, I have looked for the "K". Everywhere except where the "K" is apparently...

So here are my questions:

1. What are the chances of getting my rebate?. I was considering calling them tomorrow...
2. What is the best way to kill the cat?

1. It depends, would be hard to say without having prior experience redeeming rebates with that company. I would try it, and hope for the best.
