Got back from Best Buy with a Buslink drive in hand.. opened it up and the label said 48125W but the front bezel says 48x24x48..

Mine shows "48x12x50 CD-RW". Included Nero was a stinker to install, but I think that had more to do with the AOpen drive. Included 5.5.08 software hade to be upgraded to 5.5.10 to even place the icons... was installing over 5.0. It's working now and all I hve to do is burn off all my old, slow media.

I just realized that there is a possible drawback:

It appears that BB's procedure for PM is to do a return of the original purchase (the one that you are supposed to get MIRs for) and then resell it to you at the new (price-matched) price. Does it mean that your rebate submissions become invalid? If the rebate centers (and there are two in this case, apparently the manufacturer and BestBuy) have access to BB's receipt database, your submissions might get thrown out since the original sale was returned and refunded. Any ideas/suggestions?

As far as I am concerned, I would rather save $40 now than wait 3+ months for a combined $50 rebate from two places that might never materialize.
