Oxi Clean Big Box contains:

8.5 lbs. Oxi Clean
32 oz. Oxi Soft Fabric Softener
20 oz. Oxiclean Spot & Stain Pre Treater (spray bottle)
3 Synthetic Chamois
2 Oxi Clean Squirt Bottles

This is $24.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond. Use either the $5.00 off coupon or the 20% off coupon (they both give you around $5.00 discount) and purchase for $19.99 plus tax. The box has a $10.00 rebate sticker on it. Total cost after rebate is around $10.00.

Coupons are regularly mailed or printed in newspapers.

I am not advocating that Oxi Clean is/isn't a good product (I personally believe it helps but it does not meet all of the claims) so please do not start a war on the product.

There are also other Oxi Clean and Orange Glo rebates available at $5.00 on the tear pads at the display.

Forgot to check if this is a repost...if it is , sorry.

Oxiclean was the first one that I heard of. I remember seeing it on infomercials. It was one of those products that looked "too good to be true".
Then one day when I was at my dad's my step-mom washed some of my clothes that had stains (bumming around the house clothes) and they came out totally clean. I had washed these things at least 20 times and the stains had never budged. I asked what she used and she swore by Oxiclean. Apparently they had started selling it in stores.

When I got home I checked the local stores but couldn't find it. I did, however, see a few detergents that were starting to add "oxygen cleaning" to their formulas. A few months later Wal-Mart started stocking it. Now you can find it almost everywhere. Now I use it for almost everything. It even works for cleaning sinks (just fill it up with hot water, drop in some oxy clean, and the stains lift away).

Just my $0.02

I would have to say it does a fair job on carpet stains. That is what I use it for mostly. I have a beige berber and it gets the d@mn mulberry stains out of the carpet when people forget to take shoes off after walking under the tree. I usually jump on it within a few hours though. Well, once I did not get to them until the next morning...we were all snortin drunk....I passed out.

Oxiclean works great. Just make sure that you rinse it out of whatever you're washing very well. It tends to leave a white, powdery residue on things. The residue turns slimy when wet. By the way, it works fairly well on those pit stains...

I was real skeptical of this stuff, but it really does a great job on certain kinds of things. Specifically organic type stains. Like pet pee. My wife says it did a bangup job on shower mildew if you let it sit a while. One great thing about it, it doesn't smell like most chemical cleaners and almost has no odor. I've only had one container, but this really does look like a good deal based on my experience.

I just went out and got this. It came out to be $21 after the coupon.

With $10 rebate, in the end it would be $11.

But, as a bonus, the tub of Oxi-Clean inside the box has a special free squirt bottle and 2 shammies offer. This offer only requires the UPC code from the tub, no receipt or anything. You have to include $1 for shipping, but that's not overpriced.

I'm trying it on my carpet as we speak. It started bubbling =)

I'm sure the best way to have clean carpet is to never get it stained, but Oxiclean cleaned up my stain, about 6 months old.

Well, as a pro carpet cleaner (Arizona Quick Dry for you Metro Detroiters), here is my experience with Oxy-Clean. The best uses for it seem to be right after a nasty (possibly discoloring) stain happens (pee, wine, kool-aid). One bad side effect I have seen was it leaves behind a really white spot. I mean really white on any color of carpet. Upon first inspection, it looked as if it was bleached out. It wasn't until further cleaning that it was really a residue that was left at the surface and easily rinsed out with my chemicals. My advice on this is the same as I give to any spotters out there. Follow the spot treatment with a thorough rinsing of just water or club soda. If possible, remove the extra moisture with a shop-vac to make it dry as fast as possible. The residues from spotters attract dust and dirt at a much higher pace, hence why rinsing is essential. Of the many available spotters out there, I do recommend Oxy-clean and the Chem-Dry Stain Extinguisher. Resolve, Dishsoap, Simple Green are all high PH soaps than leave a nasty residue if not rinsed correctly.
Any more carpet cleaning questions can be directed to me via PM or at owner@arizonaquickdry.com
Hope that helps a little.
