Believe what? To believe in God, or Jesus, or what exactly?

What would it take for me to beleive in Jesus I can easily answer. I want a testable date that is either right or wrong - no ifs, ands, or buts - about when he will return. Give me an exact date and time. And if that date comes and goes without his appearance you can't claim that it was because we weren't righteous enough for him.

We live in an age of total information access. Jesus, or God, or whatever could get himself an audience wherever he wanted. He should do miracle after miracle after miracle that completely defied any rational, scientific explanation - he could make every person with an A in their name grow tails and go bald, something really Biblical like he has done before.

Sadly he has all but disappeared after we started science and accurate record keeping. There is no God, Jesus was a man with some good PR, etc. Just all nonsense without any way to prove it.

It is, in other words, mere faith.

I have come accross several people who have claimed to be Napolean. It wouldn't even take the tiniest little skippity skip of faith for me to believe that at least all but one of them MUST be either crazy, or liars.

You know the joke about the paranoid schizophrenic who repeatedly denied he was Napolean, don't you?

They hooked him up to a polygraph.

It showed that he was lying.

But on to the point - ok, I'll bite, I will believe in Jesus when I have incontrovertible truth of his existence.

Now produce such proof.

Really, any kind of proof that he was the son of God and died and came back and will come back again... the whole spiel. Show me how it is all absolutely true.

My price is truth. And Christianity fails miserably in that department.

"Proof" through widely visible miracles likely will only come again at the time of the antichrist; if you come to faith by then, you will probably die for your faith.

Jesus was clear that turning toward God comes through examining Scripture, not through seeing miracles.
