Great Britain has laxer regulations. The same product that gets an F in the EU gets an A+ in GB. Not sure if its actually correct with regards to that light bulb as that's quite the disparity, but...
Its kinda like the thinking that if you stop testing for COVID, then magically the number of people testing positive drops. Its what horrible shitty people do because they're abject failures at being responsible human beings, pretending that things are better than they are instead of dealing with them.
Yeah, I'm sure in general that's the case, but I am unconvinced that
particular example can be right. I don't see how an LED bulb would get an F under EU rules, LEDs are as good as it gets for energy efficiency. To get an F when only 7W it would have to be producing almost no light.
Having googled it, it seems that the EU very recently, like 6 months ago, completely revised their scale because they'd gradually added higher categories like A* and A** and A***, and they decided to remake it to take it back to being just A to F again. The "UK" rating looks like it's using the older scale, but that "F" just looks wrong. Unless that's a really crap LED bulb.
