Kissinger was very instrumental about 'self depreciating jokes' in general. Someone told him it would help his public image if he told such jokes, so he started doing so.

His real attitude wasn't wildly different from the 'jokes'. His lack of interest in ethics when it came to US policy would probably have extended to things affecting Jewish people, so I suppose you could say he was at least consistent.

The dumbest part is they ignore much of the "voting asses off" crowd has been voting for the worse of two evils, which has fucked up the "lesser" from being able to meaningfully enact much real change. At times this isn't even something voting can even directly change (see various Supreme Court decisions).

Actually I take it back, the dumbest part is how many of the people like them then use that argument to justify voting for the worse of two evils out of spite, and then they bitch how the lesser doesn't do anything. See the Bernie Bitches that voted Turmp. Or the people that got mad that Obama didn't magically fix everything that then voted Turmp. Or basically every single time that Americans swing back to voting Republicans because things are either too good (but they could be ultra mega amazing spectacular - according to full of shit Republicans) and people forgot how shitty it is when Republicans have power, or there's tough times because Republicans fucked stuff up and decide that well sure the Republicans might have been to blame for the tough times but fuck Democrats for not fixing it all and ushering us into utopia in less than 10 years).
