For that matter, conservatives really need to stop complaining about the cost of drinking water and other such items spiking in cost 20 to 100 fold. That's the free market at work people! Capitalism. Supply and demand.

From what I've heard from people on the ground is that government has thus far been largely ineffective compared to the volunteers, both in rescuing people and providing for them. Looting and such happening and now the police are threatening arrest for those carrying long guns.... which it is legal in Texas to open carry long guns....

Uncontrollable greed is the problem everywhere, not the size of the government/numbers of regulations/laws.
