I think I see what happened.
So, I know a few people who went and got their GEDs later in life, a sister in law is one of them. We talked about it. They took the test and were done with it. I was not aware that when you elect to take the GED Ready exam, it is actually broken up into 4 sections. They give you the choice of taking the test all at once, or doing them individually at different times. It appears Boebert was one of those people who elected to do it piecemeal, so while she did take the exam four times, it was probably due to the separate modules and not becasue she failed the whole thing (at least I think so).
She did decide to pursue it 16 years after highschool though, and did end a month before she took office. Given what I know about repugs and their contempt for education and laws, their predilection for a different set of rules if there's an (R) after your name, I still have doubts. These people are ok trying to overthrow elections results, I guess I don't have much faith they see school requirments and records as sacrosanct.
