Wars can end with military defeat on the battlefield, or they can end when one side gets bored, decides to blow cash on other priorities. It happens.

Taliban is in power, but the country is still far from peace. They're still fighting ISIS-K and the NRF, plus there's all that noise with Pakistan. Iran and Pakistan both seem to be kicking Afghans out now. Chronic food and medical shortages on top of it all. We'll see.
