Its a compaq persario 1500 (hence the P1500 ).
and the web site doesnt have A the rebate or B all the listings since it is a configure-your-own notebook that was shown in the local BB ads.


yes it does include the 10% off laptops plus it has a $100 MIR. To come to $1599.

cause if you check the intel.com website, they just released the first P4 2.0Ghz laptop chip like 3 weeks ago
i dont think they even made a 2.2Ghz yet for laptop

there are P4 2.2Ghz chips for desktops.. but not for laptops

There were 2.2's before...maybe not specificlly designed for notebooks (uses more power, etc), but there is.

I dont see anything for a contract with MSN.

Dayam if you need a P4 2.2GHz laptop you might as well get a bad boy IBM ThinkPad or Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop.

I'd be content with a $1,000 P3/1GHz or P4/1.2GHz

I'm more concerned about battery consumption/heat, who cares if ICQ runs a little slower.

Does this laptop use the same mobo and chassis as the 2800T? Just curious. I hear the desktop processor is faster than the P4?

EDIT: I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but is the cpu soldered onto the motherboard?
