P35 MB price down

ASUS is going to slicing the P35 MB price by 10-15%. Everybody else will follow. So those want to buy P35 MB should hold a little bit!

Without some sort of source or article link this is unlikely. Now if anything is going to drive prices down it's going to be p45 coming soon and manufactures trying to squeeze out last minute p35 sales before they become discontinued in december.

Yes. I can read that. Basically it said ASUS will price-cut some P35 mbs by 10-15%, including P5K pro and disconinue other P35s.

Newegg's price for the retail EP35-DS3R is now $120, instead of the $130 I paid for it months ago. So perhaps prices are falling slightly.

I noticed the same thing at ZZF. One or 2 P35 mobos ~$10-$15 less from ~2-3 days ago. Perhaps we'll see more agressive mobo deals as the MIR programs generally end on May 30 or 31 at NE, MWave and ZZF.

If P35 is dropping in price, then X38 and X48 are getting price increases. The EX38-DS4 went from $178 to $199 at newegg, and is currently OOS. The X48 variant (which is the EXACT SAME CHIPSET as the X38, only binned so that it overclocks slightly better), is a whopping $235!

(And yet, the EX38-DS4 and EX48-DS4 OMIT the two Jmicron SATA ports, that are present on the cheaper $120 P35-DS3R. Gigabyte charges more and gives you much less.)

Since the P45 mobos are right around the corner (i.e., June), better prices for P35, X38 and X48 have to be getting closer.

Should only be a short time before the P35 mobo start to drop in price in earnest. Newegg now has 3 different P45 mobos in stock and ZZF has 1 model in-stock and 6 more models listed by OOS.

I would like to pick me up a couple more P35 boards to have for "because I can approach". Prices are seemingly looking just about "ripe" for the pickin.:thumbsup:
