Nice going Thugs... What vcore is probe actually reading at the moment? My p4g8x is reading 1.6 when I have her set at default. Whether it is true or not is a whole different story.

Hi guys,

Am a noob at ocing My story and questions:

I tried getting a good memory (better than what i have before a generic 512 MB PC 333 TQI), Am using a twinmos PC 400 now. I tried ocing at 160 FSB with 2.5-6-3-3 CL settings. It gave me 2.88 gig hehehe, all volts default. Am using a Epox 4PEA+, P4 2.4 B C1 SL6EF Philippines, Leadtek GF4 Ti4800, 512 MB PC400 twinmos, 80 gig maxtor 7200 rpm. Using a lian li PC 65 too with 2 80 mm intake and 2 80 mm exhaust, with a Thermaltake Spark 7. My temps are 47 C idle 57 C load. Runned Prime 95 for 12 hours no prob. am just wondering can i keep my settings if am using it 24/7? would i fry anything? Another thing i notice vs my old Memory, i cant get pass 160 fsb it always hangs......... But now i could i just have one question tho, with this mem i can't boot up with the 2-5-2-2 Turbo mem settings. does this mean my first mem is better? Shall i push my 2.4 to 3? with 170 fsb if am using it 24/7? Another thing anyone knows why my mobo is undervolting my cpu volt.? i get 1.48-1.49 from bios and MBM? tried a new with higher wattage PSUand a new 4pea+ same results. Am using an enremax 350 BTW

under p95 it drops to 1.53v.

Holy cow partner.All that voltage increase never made it stable at 3.24GHz.Thats the way it is with the C1 mostly,but there are some that do gain MHz with added voltage like mine.They seem few and far between.Your down to your last straw 1.65 will give you around 1.7-1.71V at idle.

The fact is with an asus mobo he is starting .05v behind.....I can at least get defualt vcore cause the albatron undervolts .07v by raising it to 1.6v in bios to get 1.53v actual at idle....So....I actually get the whole .17v before I cross my limit of 1.7...

He starts at 1.58v actual and only has .12v left....He actually only went to 1.67-1.68v so yes he could take another .025v to try to get stability but that would be to get stability at 1hour....

How close did it come to passing 1 hour??? Or, did it fail rather quickly??? When I see them fail quickly it usually can take up to .05v to get stability for 6-12 hours....


As for vcore flux!!! I agree I don't know if it really effects it that much, or do other mobo factors limit it anyways. Yes my albatron has like a .06v max flux while the epox had .1v+ at same speed. Could this been the factor...Yes, but the mobo was extremely flaky on its own...

ill start 5 hour testing @ 175fsb and see how far i get

anyways i set it at 180fsb @1.575 volts
with the aeroflow i get only 34c idle load is 40c
with stock uh 46idle 50c+ load

thats whats so damn kewl about those P4m cpus ~ i was able to run this setup @ 197fsb cas2227 1T 100% stable :Q
now that im running a "normal" cpu, i know that i cant blame the moboard or ram for anything
