Good luck!
I only bought 3 of the 2.53's.
That's nothing compared to PJ.
I think he is up to about 10+ or something.

Come on Thugs. Good Luck.
I really want to see someone do 190fsb
with one of these on air.

no way man ~ id go cross eyed

the creditcard / paper clip method finds the bent pins for you ~ then you can either use the paper clip, creditcard, or toothpick to fix it (depending on situation)

only took me about 10-12 mins to fix about 75 bent pins :|

I just used the Manifying glass to make sure the pins were staight and aligned with the other pins.I had 10-12 to straighten out.I bought mine off someone and not at outpost. The plastic case that holds the CPU is loose and sloppy. They should put cotton in there to tighten it up.Anyways, good luck on the new chip.

As I posted on Thors thread... I have had about 5 (DID YOU READ THAT JHITES!!!) from outpost and they all had bent pins... my first 2.53 was the best, and happens to be the one that Ihave kept through all of this testing. The 2.53 I received a couple days ago was horrible... took me nearly 30 minutes to get her all lined up, and even at that I had to gently force (is that possible?) it into the socket. They should pack them better.

Guess I missed that post - Was just guessing.
We do buy a lot of these chips looking for the Golden one.

I did buy all three of mine from Fry's B&M store so I did not
have to deal with the bent pen problem.
They did pack them in those little clear plastic cases that I
think is a problem. Chip is hard to get out and put back in.

I will say he hits 188-190 before it peters out......

Hows the alpha doing ??? Got hope this hsf of mine could last for quite sometime...heck I haven't even switched to a 92mm fan either...

The Multi-VID comes in 1.475, 1.50, 1.525, and 1.55v. That is why its called Multi-VID c1s.

Asus = 1.525v default

Alpha temps are on par "Mhz-to-Mhz" with my last chip so far.
im sure that will change once i pass 3.2ghz tho.

this board reads about 8-9*C hotter then your board (and my last board), but as long as it stays below 65*C im not concerned.

So are you saying you can get anyone of those??? HOw do you know you have it before placing the chip on the board and booting up?? I know it is oem so is there a mark on the chip that says vcore?? I hadn't paid attention to that before...

Ok, good, I'm glad to hear this because at 3.4+ghz my full load temps rise to 57! I think I need a new cpu fan.

From what I understand, yes they come in 1.475,1.5 and 1.525.I never heard of the 1.55 one.The CPU voltage will default to one of these voltages in your bios if your bios goes lower than 1.52.I seen a post where someone had a 1.475 and thats what it defaulted too.

I had a 2.4b sl6rz which defaults at 1.525v in bios and my current 2.0a sl6s7 defaults at 1.475v in the bios.
There is no voltage marking on the multi-vid chips. You really don't know what voltage until you go into bios.
