There's ALOT of different brands of HSF for AMD systems, but what about Intel? I've not seen one interesting or worthy Intel cooling system in all my searching. Is it just that intel's SF is perfect (probably not), or just that the P4 doesn't produce as much heat or doesn't need the extra cooling?

What is the situation here?

From what I understand the stock Intel HSF is really good in fact, and also very quite.

i ran a 1.6 at 2.3 for a while on the stock hsf, didn't even get hot. i am a big fan of the alphaPal because it really helped out when i had my XP1700, but i feel its a waste of a good $50 now w/ the nice cool, quite p4s

i have a 1.6a. i currently use the avc sunflower. it's kinda loud but i guess it has to make some noise in order to cool it right. a love/hate relationship there. right now my temps are 31 c full load for the cpu. not bad at all...

but honestly, i would have just used the stock hsf but i shelled out $30 for the avc so i figure i have to use it. but if you do a search, there are several intel hsf.

if I add a new FAN to the Stock intel HSF will i get a noticable difference in cooling. I don't care about silence as much as keeping it cool. Is it possible to add a fan or no?

I've also read on intel's site that the HSF in the retail P4 has a sensor that increases speed with the temps. Is there a way to lock it to a high speed for increased airflow all the time?
