If everyone used that logic intel would no longer be in business. It's called brand loyalty, and for some reason intel has loads of it.
Yes, the above is very true, and I still don't know how they've managed to keep such a loyal following even though their CPUs are so much more expensive that AMD.. I used to like Intel and strayed away from AMD when they first came out. Then, when I started building more computers for myself and others and saw the difference in price I gave one a shot. Got an XP1800+ for about $75 and was impressed. It outperformed similar Intel chips I had at the time, I've been an AMD man ever since.
