while i'm not familiar with your set-up...go into your BIOS and up your FSB as that's the only way you can OC a P4 unless you were blessed and got an enigneering chip (they're unlocked)...do it in small increments (not more than 5Mhz at a time) you may need to up your voltage but be careful with that...my retail HSF was colling well enough but I bought a Thermaltake Spark 7 just to have the added cooling power..works really well. dropped 2 degrees (C) off my temps.

thanks Jarhead7236, so do I up the fsb till it won't boot to windows and then up the volts and so on??
What about running bench marks? What bench marks should I use?

System looks like this: Chieftec case, 420W twin fan CWT-420atx PS, SINXP1394 BO F6c bios using the DPS,
P4 2.4b C1 stock cooler, 2X 512 Corsair XMS3500C2, 2X Maxtor 80gig 8mb hard drives running Serial raid 0
on Highpoint converters, Ati Radeon 9700 Pro, 52x burner, 16x DVD rom, floppy, 2x 80mm exhaust fans, 2x
80mm intake fans, 1x 80mm side fan blowing in. My temps acording to MBM 5 are 30c idle and 48c full load. I have an Alpha 8942 I want to try when stock cooler is done thanks to PastorJay moving to MCX coller I believe.

Oh voltages for PS are +3.3=3.06 +5.00=4.90 +12.00=12.33 again from MBM 5 if I remember Bios is real close
to these numbers.

I've been playing a little today, started at 133fsb, 400 for memory (spec is 433) no voltage increase and ran 3DMark03 pass and then 135 404 pass, 138 414 pass, 141 422 pass, 144 422 reboots write after it starts. Memory set to 2.5 7 3 3 in bios. What does this mean? All changes have done in the bios thus far. 3Dmark scores are 3357, 3505, 3217, 3235 in the same order as above. Why are they dropping?

Anybody else want to get in on this spectical...........TIA

Oh ya I got new memory since I posted this.

i would stay under 144 until you experiment with your settings/voltages a little more. try upping your voltages but be careful..there's this thing called Sudden Northwood Death Sysndrome (SNDS) that results from careless OC'ing...Check www.overclockers.com and look at their database they have, to see what others with your CPU have done...I'm not too good analyzing voltages but I haven't upped mine by more than one increment...good luck.
