the fact of the matter is it does not overclock well because it is nearing the end of the current core (palomino) i doubt you can get anything significant over 2100+ without an extreme cooling solution
if you want an overclockable amd then at least wait for a thoroughbred bet from what i've read the reduction in the core size takes most of the benefits from .18 - > .13 and the drop in vcore
so the t-bred will only dissipate %15 less heat than that of a similarly clocked AXP
i say if you want amd wait for hammer
the only reason i would buy amd right now is if i did not overclock at all then it is the obvious choice price/perfwise
1.6 and 1.8 a's IMO are the best bang for yer buck
u might want to wait though because with the intro to 533 bus than i'd say they'd drop the 1.6 and 1.8s and 2.0's will only carry a small price premium over 1.8a's right now
