p4 temps

I was wanting to get some temps the p4's run at. I would prefer temps for 2.0ghz and faster. Please list speed, heatsink and fan, motherboard, ambient temp if possible, and the program you are using. If you have it o/c, list what you have it o/c to also. Thanks.

My P4 is a 2.2 O/C to 2.6 at 1.675V and SETI load temps about 49c.

That sort of temp is fine for a PIV though.

As a sidenote, if you get a P4 with the stock HSF, cooling should not be a problem. Heck, according to the article I just read at sharkyextreme.com, you can even get very decent overclocks out of the stock cooler with no probs.

See the link to my rig for system specifics. Temps (even here in Sunny SoCal where it's 98F outside and about 90 inside, no AC) according to MBM 5 run from 35C at idle to 50C under load (Prime95 or games).

I just installed my first P4 last night (a 1.8a) and used the stock HSF with some thermal grease (not Arctic Silver though) and at idle the MB was telling me it was about 33 c. I had just installed Windows so I didn't have MBM or anything to test under load, but right after running the Windows install I rebooted and checked and it was at 37c. Are these good temps?

those should be about normal

i have a p4 1.8a with stock hsf and arctic alumina...get 36 idle

I put in a 2.26Ghz P4 with Thermaltake Dragon Orb heatsink and artic silver 3, 40 degrees idle, 49 degrees full load

i think thats a bit high, i haven't been through the "break in" period, but with the stock HSF full load temp was 47 degrees

any opinions?

The orbs don't cool as well as other style heatsinks from what I have seen. Had an orb once on my P3 and it sucked. So IMO, they suck. I'm sure there are some heatsinks that don't cool as well as orbs though.
