I searched through the previous messages both here and "elsewhere" and found no good explanation for the cpu temperature to constantly indicate 40 degrees Celcius. One fellow posted that temperature isn't indicated if it is less than 40 degrees, yet will respond if temperature exceeds that figure. I can hardly believe that would be by design as it makes the temperature indication much less useful. Others speak of a new bios 1006 but I can find no such bios or even any evidence of it being forthcoming.
