P4P800 or P4C800 ?

Need to replace my dead Intel Board. Currently have a NW 2.6 and wouldn't mind a slight overclock. Have to ensure that the PCI/AGP lock works as I'm running SATA Drives.

I don't want to hear about AMD and how everyone thinks these are better chips...I multitask and a P4 wins in this arena. Thanks for all the help.

What a useless response to my question.

The point I was trying to make is that I'm not a gammer, and I multitask with several office and graphics programs, and in this scenario Intel is the better processor. If I were a gamer, then I would also pick AMD for it's superior processing power.

Maybe I should have been more specific, but this type of useless bandwidth is juvenile.

I used to use this forum a couple of years back, and then all the threads turned into a AMD-vs-Intel debate, and most of those turned into flames. Thank you for reminding me why I left.

Both P4P and P4C are great mobos. Everything is up to how much you want to spend, that's all. If you want to spend under 100 bucks, go for P4P800 SE or IS7-E. If you want to spend about 150 and enjoy the extra features, like PAT or on-board PATA Raid, go for P4C800.

My reply wasnt a flame. I was just simply clarifying WHY everybody "thinks" they are better - which, by your statement, you implied that you thought otherwise.

And, yes...you should have been more specific. To just mention that you "multitask" might have been kewl/interesting/informative before..say...the advent of DesqView...but in (almost) 2005 its a useless term - kinda like saying you have a "multimedia PC"

I doubt you are too old - since Im probably older (maybe) and I dont get my panties all in a wad from something said in a forum. Maybe you just need to up the dosage on your meds.

Anyway, I really hope all goes well with your Intel chip. No, really!
