P67 mobo - ASRock or Gigabyte?

I am building a new system and need to buy a motherboard for my i7-2600k cpu.
I have a hard time choosing between ASRock P67Extreme6 and Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3.
The ASRock attracts me more mostly because of the 10 SATA ports (along with its other goodies),
but I have been using Gigabytes in the past and have been happy enough with them.
Please provide me with your suggestions!

Reviews of both are good. I'm not sure if warranty length is equal, but if it is, I'd get the ASRock for the extra SATA ports and GUI bios.

the asrock is a hell of a board, but you need to read some forums on the giga boards as i remember reading about some issues with giga boards...ill tell you tho i do like the giga boards for these SB cpu's.....im sure giga will get things straightened out...

I don't know anything about the Gigabyte mobo but I will say that the
Asrock P67 Extreme6 I have paired with the 2600K has been an outstanding performer. Booted up the first time and has problem-free since. Having 10 SATA ports helped in not having to use the SATA II ports while waiting for the B3 stepping board to become available. I just hope that B3 stepping due to arrive to tomorrow will be just as good as the B2 stepping I have now.

I finally went for the ASRock Extreme6 mobo. Two questions though:
I am going to use a Prolimatech Megahalems rev.2 CPU cooler with two 120mm fans in a push/pull array.
Can I attach them both to the CPU fan connector via a splitter cable?
Will they both be controlled at the same speeds?

Two fans on a Mega for the 2600K OC'ed would be rather useless. One fan would be perfectly fine.

Yeah a venemous with the 2000RPM (nearly silent) TR fan would be much better
No RAM clearance issues and would do as good or better than the Prolim
The prolim is a humungous thing

I went with Gigabyte... given a time machine, I'd go with ASRock... among other dastardly deeds .

Same, though I am ultimately happy with the UD4. I dropped a new 2600k in there and it's had better temps and better overclocking, so maybe I just lost the silicon lottery with my original i5 2500k.

Asrock are now using high quality components in the higher range models so last few years they have really moved up into Asus,Gigabyte,MSI league.

Remember Asrock was Asus's budget range but no longer.

I would go Asrock Extreme6 over Gigabyte, better features, high quality parts used, great reviews, extra free one year warranty added if you buy before end of June 2011,better BIOS ie using the new UEFI so no brainer really.

I love my ASRock Extreme 4, so I assume the 6 is even more to love.....

My 4 has twin CPU Fan headers so I'm sure the 6 does too.

That said, I agree with another poster....who the heck needs a "push/pull" fan arrangement for a 2600K???? The thing is like room temperature in overclocking (ok that's hyperbole but you get the point)

I'd went with Gigabyte for their 3 year vs Asrock 1-2 year.

Actually, if you buy a Sandy Bridge based Asrock board now the warranty is 2-3 years (depending on model). They extended the warranty an extra year if you buy one before June 30, 2011.

Asrock seems very good in P67. I have never tried their board but I have seen lots of good words on the forums. I also heard that it has took over the thrid MB manufacturer from MSI

I bought the Asrock x58 extreme board, and it has been extremely stable. I would put them right by ASUS and Gigabyte. I will never own another MSI device.....

yeah thats why I said 1-2 years. They offer 1 year on all their boards(afaik) which is lame unless you get in on the extended warranty making it 2 years which isn't bad. Most other major companies offer 3 years. But alot don't care about that. I myself warranty>everything else.

WHERE CAN I BUY EITHER OF THEM???

I've been waiting Waaay too long!! I've got a 2600k, brand new 16gb kit, 2nd GTX 580, 4 new hard drives and I'm still waiting to get a motherboard!!

right now, the hitch is that I absolutely must have a 3x pci-e 16 capability. because I'll be running SLI GTX 580 immediately and I really want to preserve the ability to add another one a year from now!!

anyways - my plea is for help - someone, anyone give me a link to buy either of these boards!!! I would order them both on newegg and wait for one to process - but that's not even an option, am I right? Sigh, I'm so sick of waiting. I'm ready to buy - now!!!

thanks in advance guys!!

note: off the top of my head i am more interested in the ASRock as well

GEe whiz, that web page is a headache to look at. I can't figure out how to filter the results so i only see items IN STOCK!!

At first glance this looks like the only suitable board in stock:

ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional B3

Keep in mind: I want B3, I want 3x PCIE 16 and I love as many SATA3 ports as I can get

it looks like this is my best choice at the moment, yes?

I'll wait a couple of hours then I'll place the order
