Picked up a 2600K and P67 Sabertooth. Reached 4.6GHz without any problems. Voltage is 0.944 to 1.344 depending on the load. Temps are 30C idle and 62C on the hottest core while running Prime95. I am using a Megahalems Rev. B and GT-AP14 to cool it down. Very quiet and super fast!
On my previous B2 Deluxe with the exact same settings and components I could only manage 4.5GHz, hehe I am getting an extra 100MHz.

Here are some close up pics and final build:

He probably meant PC10666 which is 1333MHz data rate.

Board sure looks nice and clean with the whole thing covered like that. I'm still not sold on expensive motherboards, but... sure looks nice!

Neither am I, but the Sabertooth does have upgraded components, 5-year warranty and other goodies so in this case it seems to be a pretty fair deal for ~$235.

I have a 212+ for a push/pull. @OP, how big of a problem I will be running into using the 212+ and access to all dimm slots using 16GB (4GB sticks of 1333 DDR3)?

Pics for your cooler + DIMMs proximity if possible.

Nice build and pics to on your blog!

As long as your RAM is standard height without those heatsinks that protrude beyond the PCB, it should fit without problems.

the sabertooth p67 is such an awesome looking board, good quality too.
and here in Denmark it costs pretty much the same as any p67 board so it's a sure winner...

I love sabertooth mobo too, but i have one question about it. I will use waterblock for CPU, meaning that no airflow down from where sabertooth is designed to have. Since the shield will block all other air flow, does the board actually gets cooled properly?

Yes...I put the fan on the board "just because I could" but it only really cools it down about another 2-3c...

Right on... that's a nice build! I'm putting together a system very similar to yours, with a few exceptions. I'm going with the Asus Pro, same processor, same video card, 8Gb of Corsair Vengeance, Corsair H-70, Asus Xonar DX, and an Antec 1200 Watt power supply. All wrapped up in a HAF X 942. Btw... nice post on your blog and great photos!

Not to knock the Asus Xoner cards but you might also want to check out the HT Omega sound cards as well.

I hope that 1200w PSU is from your current rig, otherwise it's a total waste for a single 570.

OP, how would you say the UEFI stacks up to the old school ones that have been around forever? I see this board's is very graphical and you can use a mouse. But in terms of functionality how does it measure up to what BIOS I'm use to? I'm torn between this board and a Gigabyte one, same chipset. Big difference is the BIOS/UEFI.

I want the option of adding a second card in the future without having to upgrade the PSU. I used an online power supply calculator to determine the size I needed. Two 570s in an SLI configuration with the other drives and devices I will have will require 1008 watts. Of course I padded it a little, so a 1000 watt PSU probably would have been sufficient. However, I've always read that bigger is better, so I opted for the 1200. I'm an experienced novice when it comes to building my own systems, so if this doesn't make sense, please let me know

My last board with a text BIOS was the BX6 rev.2.
But I am nonetheless familiar with BIOS'. The new UEFI BIOS' are great in my opinion, they have all the options just as the old BIOS', but are presented in a graphical UI. You can flash from the BIOS itself and access the local hard drive. I mean it doesn't get easier than this!

From my research the Gigabyte BIOS' are themselves UEFI, but using a text based interface instead of a graphic interface, but the underlying technology is identical. Having used this new GUI BIOS I don't think anyone would want to go back to the old days.

How do you reset cmos on this board?
Do you have to remove the cover to take out the battery? Which means also removing ram, cooler & gpu.

Where are the holes for the stand offs?

I just did a build using this board and it's super easy to reset the cmos. It simply has a jumper on the bottom right corner.
