I wonder how many Republican voters in Pennsylvania are aware of this?
I didn't know that.

Imagine if Democrats played the Boogeyman Muslim xenophobia card during the actual election. He's Muslim and therefore he's going to bring Sharia law to the land. Would conservatives refuse to vote for Oz or would they vote for him because he's not a Democrat?

Literally whatever Tucker is telling them at the moment. Precedent doesn't matter. Intellectual consistency is antithetical to their functioning.

Is there a requirement for senetors to be only American? Asking since Oz has dual citizenship.

No but if elected he should recuse himself of any policymaking that has to do with Turkey but we know that he won't due that.

unfortunately for the Dems, their candidate had a stroke.
he has recovered but it clouds his chances of winning vs Oz

Wait wut? That actually makes me wonder. What would happen if the Governor Elect is a Democrat, and the Leutanant Gov Elect is a Republican.

Is that even possible? Generally they run from the same party as a ticket no?

some states have elections for gov and lt gov.

there was a repub state with a semi-sane repub gov and a nutjob Trumpazee as his lt gov because each position has it's own election.

When the gov went to Texas for a conference of southern gov's or something like that, the lt gov was in charge and decided to wield power and make some changes via executive order.
She also ordered the state National Guard to do something ridiculous.
the gov comes back to the state and undoes everything she did.

this happened a 2nd time when he left the state.
and there's nothing he could have done about it except not leave the state

Just a minor update: undated ballots received on time are allowed to be counted. Turns out, dating the envelope is pretty immaterial.

The Supreme Court did not issue a rationale for upholding the 3rd Circuit's decision, but the 3rd Circuit pretty clearly lays out the rationale:

A unanimous panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit said that kind of discrepancy violates a provision of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964. The provision prohibits government officials from denying the right to vote “because of an error or omission” that “is not material in determining whether such individual is qualified under state law to vote.”

“It must be remembered that all agree that the disputed ballots were received before the 8:00 p.m. deadline on Election Day,” Judge Theodore McKee wrote. “It must also be remembered that ballots that were received with an erroneous date were counted.”

That was a “nail in the coffin,” McKee wrote. “If the substance of the string of numbers does not matter, then it is hard to understand how one could claim that this requirement has any use in determining a voter’s qualifications.”

Though, it goes without saying, that some on the Supreme Court want to support the process over reality. Who cares if the outcome is wrong and arbitrary, as long as "the process" was explicitly followed. (Just like when they throw out recent appeals in death penalty cases)

It doesn’t matter.

They’d rather be Russian than a Democrat.
They’d rather vote for a Muslim before voting for a Democrat
They’d rather end democracy and live under Cheetoh Mussolini forever than be led by Democrats.

Uh, No.

LOL
