Local B&M staples in Phoenix, AZ, has the Pacific Digital 24x10x40 for $69.95 after a $10 instant and $20 MIR. The box says "burn-proof"; so it implies Lite-On. Since they spelled it lowercase, who knows, right?

Rebate requires purchase by 3/20/2002 and postmark by 4/23/2002.

This BTC burns 24x Kodal Gold/Silver 80s at 8x. To avoid this BTC crapper, serial on box starts with "A" then 8 numbers = 9 characters.

Cheapo media burned with Nero 5.5.7.8 at 16x and the "silver top" no label/no JC brand that came with the drive at 24x. My 12 Kodak burns faster. The drive comes with Niti, which I don't need.

Anyone get a different brand, than BTC? This sucker is going back.
