I won't know until Friday, like most of you, what OM will be having in their Sunday ad; but I did hold the box in my hand and wrote down the model#, UPC#, partial SN (that box SN was Pxxxxx = BTC), and it was the PD 8x+- as I mentioned already.
I'd be more than happy to get one out the door for $69.99 plus tax so I don't have to do much driving around. (They're killing us out here now one the left coast, gas just went up another 8 cents while I was visiting my sisters earlier tonite:|)
Can anyone briefly list the pro's and con's for the PD Lite-On oem models and if the NEC oem is better or worse performance/media-wise.
I've read the recent review at CdrLabs on the PD LIte-On being a bit different than the Lite-On label itself (think it was the 811s?) And I recall in earlier threads here or elsewhere that one of the PD Lite-On's had problems with Nero (or visa-versa) and had bitsetting?
851?
811s?
Nec ND-2500A?
Thanks,
...russ
