I am buidling a new system around a DFI Ultra D motherboard and an Opteron 165. I already have one system with thsse parts, and so I knew in advance I wanted to replace the chipset fan with something quieter and more reliable.
I liked what I saw in the Jing Ting cooler, so I paid the big bucks for same and installed it. Now, I find my system won't boot, and it looks Iike I will have to RMA the motherboard.
I can remove the Jing Ting and put the original fan back on the defective motherboard, but what do I do when it comes time to put the J-T on the replacement board? There is a little square pad that comes with the Jing Ting that surrounds the chipset. That pad is now used and presumably not reusable. Any ideas on where I get another one? Just what are they called, and who sells them?
