Well, if that ever does happen, at least you'll know how to act. Just a guess, but it'll probably be a while for you.Originally posted by: neuro4848
I began groping this box like it was my first time with a chic... and there it was staring back at me

yup.. a nice overpriced $20 version is available at Rat Shack.. or see a local computer show, most shows have a couple guys selling cables of all sorts, and they usually have the adaptersOriginally posted by: Technocrat
Elixer you might try Radio Shack if you're looking for the Svideo to composite converter.

The Best Buy on Midway and 635 in Dallas had two with the 180339... S/N. Picked one up, and it was indeed a PRO, at least according to the sticker. Thanks DRS!
Is there any sort of probe I can run to make sure that it is indeed a PRO?
*EDIT* Used aida32, seems to be a PRO.

Just saw cat 3.9 drivers are out... let hope they fixed all the issues. So far, this was a hot deal with crappy drivers.

the box says FREE HALF-LIFE 2 GAME. haven't opened it yet. (can't justify spending $140 for a graphics card, where my system itself is $300 ).
thanks.

Thanks Elixer, just tried them and the recent Omega's.
NO DICE
I just popped my 5600 ultra back in and it runs FINE.
Now the real issue arises, if I want to play CoD right now I'm not using my tasty 9600 pro, this is bad because Halo looks SO good on the pro compared to the 5600.
Bleh, hoping they resolve this quickly, and yes you are right a hot deal with crappy drivers indeed.
If anyone else figures out how to get CoD to work with the 9600 please PM me!

You knew it was going to happen.
Let's see if he actually makes more than, say, $129.99

Reno, NV area are all out. I called in to check the serials (yes, I'm that gutsy) and the guy I talked to actually knew why I was checking, so apparantly someone already got them. I did pick up one, serial 180342X..., was just a damn 9600SE.
I don't think they ever had any... Looking throught the posts, most of these were found in the Eastern US.... few if any were found in the WestOriginally posted by: Buck_Naked
If anyone is interested, I checked the BB in both Carson City and Reno, and both had the 180340xxx range cards, so don't waste your time. I also checked the Reno CrapUSA and came up with the same range, and CC didn't have the 9600SE at all...
