Reno, NV area are all out. I called in to check the serials (yes, I'm that gutsy) and the guy I talked to actually knew why I was checking, so apparantly someone already got them. I did pick up one, serial 180342X..., was just a damn 9600SE.
I don't think they ever had any... Looking throught the posts, most of these were found in the Eastern US.... few if any were found in the WestOriginally posted by: Buck_Naked
If anyone is interested, I checked the BB in both Carson City and Reno, and both had the 180340xxx range cards, so don't waste your time. I also checked the Reno CrapUSA and came up with the same range, and CC didn't have the 9600SE at all...

Heh.... not much to fear, I am about 3 hours south of you... and with the snows coming, my having to commute part way by snowmobile will curtail even further my trips into Reno... :disgust:Originally posted by: yukichigai

F%$#, another ATer in Reno/CC. That kills my monopoly.
Well I'm heading to Phoenix for the weekend. Maybe I'll find some there.

With the 10% coupon this weekend, the 9600Pro in SE box is $117, or 62% lower than the 9600XT. It is hot unless you must have an XT, or 9800.Originally posted by: rpr
I picked one of these up, but just read an article about the 9600 XT's hitting the streets at less than $190. Reviews show the stock 9600 XT is about 20% faster than the 9600 Pro, and it is very overclockable (new 0.13u die process).
Does that make this deal a bit luke warm?

You knew it was going to happen.
Let's see if he actually makes more than, say, $129.99
