We started painting our house and I'm having trouble pouring paint from those 5 gallon buckets into our paint "pan". Is there some sort of spout (like a gas can) that you can use on top?

TIA

If you aren't going to get that thing, speed is the key. It's tricky, but can be done with minimal drippage.

When I used to paint we always used a grate in the bucket, and you basically just use the bucket as your pan. You should be able to pick it up at any home improvement or painting supplies place.

Thats what I'm doing now but I was wondering if someone made a spout like thing you could attach to the 5 gallon buckets. Kinda like a gas can

Yes, they make 5 gallon paint can lids with spouts. They are called Rieke tops.

You pour it just like you would with a 1 gallon or a fine wine. When you get near the end of your pour you start to rotate the bucket, as you would with pouring wine, so that it will not drip all over the place. It may take a few shots, but after awhile you will get it.

For 1 gallon cans, what we used to do in the lab was tear up those big paper Dixie cups (the normal-sized one - like slightly smaller than red plastic cups), tear a little square for the spour, and use the side walls of the cup to pour.

This. Not too mention the you could rinse and re-use the grates. Instead of those 1 use paint tray liners.
