Alright... I am looking for a paintball gun and gear. I am willing to spend a total of like 250. Any ideas?

My friend picked up a Wal Mart special for like 80 or 100 bucks, did a barrel and bolt change and had a very good gun. Even the stock setup wasnt bad, but he said the aftermarket barrel and bolt helped his accuracy.

hmm.. maybe to be a bit more specific. No need for automatic... just want one that runs on standard CO2. And... your opinions.... ive only used the gas as the butt of the gun... is it a better balance going out the bottom or out the back at the bottom of the handle? lol... thanks.

I also like tippmans for starter, they're very reliable. Spiders are plain awful.. i mean they do their job but its cheap for a reason..

for your 250, are you getting gun + co/nitro + hopper + belt + pods ? or just gun + co/nitro ?

Spyder Xtra. Very good starter gun, and easily upgradable. First upgrade should always be your barrel. For the Xtra, I suggest the Custom Products 1-piece Spyder barrels, because of they're pretty good for their price.

Have fun

Sterling STP Pump....

best marker ever made in my honest opinon. I had one. Its a pump which requires alot of skill to master. It also saves money on costly paint but its accurate as a mug.

I have played paintball for 16 years and for a basic get out and play a walk-on rec game then get a tipmann. I still use my SL-ll pump that I bought in 1990. A good mask is also a good investment at this time. Later on down the line get a neck guard, gloves and full shin knee pads. Sliding into bunkers sucks at time with out them.
