Painted my whole system!

Not just the case, but the monitor, speakers, trackball, keyboard, DVD & CD-RW drives, floppy, and subwoofers.

The color is called Twilight Blue. It's a really really dark metallic blue. It almost looks glossy black when the lighting is low. The hardest part was the keyboard. I used try transfers with silver lettering. The keyboard took 3 and a half days. The whole project took over 2 weeks. When I began, I didn't think it would take that long nor cost as much as it did. A little over $150 worth of paint is on there.

Looks great, although it definitely looks black on my monitor. I've been wanting to do that for awhile, I just couldn't afford the downtime.

Yeah, it does look very black in the pics. It's the way the camera captured it. I turned the flash on in Pic #3 for the keyboard so you can see the lettering. It also brings out the metallic flakes and gives it that blue look.

I also gave the hand rest on the keyboard a smooth satin like finish by spraying the clear coat far away and letting it settle. It's better this way since a smooth finish can make hands stick and very sweaty since air can't get underneath. This took dozens of coats. I also used a different clear coat on the keys and trackball buttons designed to resist corrosives. It was expensive, but it makes the keys smooth and very very durable. I can scratch my nails againt them and it doesn't hurt them.
