That's why I call her a tele-evangelist politician. Not because of her fundamentalist beliefs, but because of the way she so skillfully manipulates the media and stimulates so many so shower big money on her for speeches, book signings, photos, etc. I admire her for making (very big) money off what for generations now has been essentially a millionaire's advocation.

Running for office would kill the golden goose. Heck, even serving out her term as governor was cramping the money machine-that's why she quit. Not because she had accomplished the job as she claimed (a ridiculous claim when her state was undergoing severe challenges because of the economic recession).

I do not think that Ms Palin's national political career is over. If she were a Democrat she would be no more than a bad joke. But the GOP do things differently. Mr Nixon is an example of this. He lost against JFK and lost the California governor's election, but still was chosen to run for POTUS in 1968.

The GOP tends to see the VPOTUS office as a throw away. Dan Quayle is an example of this. So Ms Bachmann as VP on a GOP national ticket is not completely end of the world crazy.
