Sounds like you are suffering from the same affliction many indignant McCain/Palin voters did back in the day: an inability to accept that Palin brought her family into the political limelight to further her own career. Bristol, a single mom, decided she needed to lecture others on abstinence. You must understand at least partially, what with your avoidance of mentioning Chelsea. Far as I know Bill Clinton never drunkenly beat a woman and threatened her with a gun.

Problem is at least with her daughter they want to speak about politics thus inviting themselves to be seen.
Similar to Hollywood stars once they start getting money from fame they loose some privacy.
