Letterman is a foolish ass whose real problem will be Conan, not S.Palin and co.His attempt at an apology only proved his arrogance .

So?let me clarify since you're having difficult understanding the concept I'm trying to convey to you: Being a man of true principle that you are? you would defend Limbaugh or Savage if they joked about 'Alex Rodriguez' using Obama's children in the same manner?.right? And, of course, you'd have no problem with them saying Michelle Obama looked liked a slutty flight attendant...right?

Absolutely she does.Originally posted by: Red Dawn
Palin does dress like a slutty Airline Attendant.

IMO nobody with any common sense would take this joke as referring to a 14-year-old - that stand is as absurd as Palin's claimed concern about her daughter's safety in Letterman's presence (not to mention her supposed fear that Letterman has discriminated against flight attendants by implying that she looks like a slutty stewardess). Sarah Palin is an imbecile and all she's doing is continuing to feed Letterman ratings.
The fact that Palin even continues to have a national political presence is indicative of our country's descent into abject idiocy. Coming in 2028: GOP presidential nominee Carrie Prejean . . .
By the way, I don't agree that there's any particular reason to think Dave wrote this joke himself - I would never expect him to sacrifice a writer to defend himself. His "apology" for the joke made it clear that he simply doesn't think he did anything wrong. I tend to agree.

Sure if he said that about the First Lady and her children. Whether he gets fired is up to his employers not me. On the other hand I doubt there'd be much reprecusion if they made the same comments about Palin and her daughter.Well maybe some of the Wingnuts will exhibit faux rage like they are doing here but that's about it.Originally posted by: FerrelGeek

So you'd like them to say it so that they'd get fired? What consequences would you like to see them face? Should Letterman face the same consequences that your fantacizing about for Limbaugh/Savage?
Dude...I didn't edit your post...I responded to the first part of your post exactly as it appeared. I didn't quote the second half of your post as it wasn't relevant (i.e. the 14 yr. old at the game wasn't the same daughter that you refer to mockingly as the "Ambassador for Abstinence")...something you fail to acknowledge. So...is this second portion I snipped actually the core of your argument justifying your defense of Letterman? And you accuse me of "lame obfuscating arguments"...lol.Originally posted by: heyheybooboo
Doc Savage Fan is a Propagandist who edits others posts to eliminate content that strikes directly at the heart of his lame obfuscating arguments.
That would make Doc the King of Fallacy and a republican.

I would be surprised if she hasn't heard it. I would be surprised if she understands what it means.Originally posted by: jonks

Palin probably never heard the old maxim about not picking a fight with someone who buys their ink by the barrel, but it goes double for the guy who has a daily tv show.

This is just a ploy by Palin's camp to garner more publicity. In a sense she's exploiting her own daughter.Originally posted by: Atreus21
Regardless, he's an unmitigated asshole for such a comment.

The only daughter at the game was her 14 year old. Letterman is lying thru his teeth.
he eff'ed up because he assumed the daughter or forgot the daugther was the 14 year old one.
A knocked up joke referencing the palin daughter would ultimately have to reference the one who was actually knocked up, to make any sense. So only an idiot would think he actually meant the 14 year old.
The joke makes no sense to anyone else other then Bristol.
