I know 1GB isn't really useful for the 8800GT but it might come in handy for later games and it's not like it's a big price difference (only 10 bucks) so might be worth a shot. Palit cards come with a custom cooler and 3-phase power designs which means they should be pretty reliable and should overclock pretty nicely as well. They also include out-of-the-box HDMI output support and that new Tomb Raider game.

The zipzoomfly description seems to have it wrong, it says 512MB but I can confirm by the model number that it is indeed a 1GB model, check out this .PDF:

In any case, it might be worth checking with ZZF but I doubt they entered the wrong model number and increased the price by $10 by mistake, it seems much more likely they just made a mistake with the memory size in the description.

Hrmm, I didn't know there were any 1GB memory 8800GT's, and when I click on both links they both show 512MB to me...

Both links show 512MB but check the model number on the one that costs $219... it's a perfect match to the 8800GT Super+1GB's model number (as seen in the PDF in the original post). It might be worth checking with ZZF but you could very well complain to them if you don't get a card with the model number advertised and as far as I know, cards can't have the same model number and have different characteristics (that's why model numbers exist in the first place ).

Here is a review of the card, the card only sees a benefit in 2560x1600 and only in Oblivion and Crysis (with AA and AF) but it IS a huge boost, the problem is, Crysis is unplayable at that res and Oblivion is only barely manageable.

The thing is, it might be worth it when future games down the line need this much memory when running in resolutions like 1680x1050 and 1280x1024, resolutions where a 8800GT would still have the necessary horsepower (maybe it won't). It's a risk but not a big one for just an extra 10 bucks and it wouldn't hurt to have the extra memory lying around for rendering purposes perhaps?

I've been researching them and it seems like the 2 year warranty is supposed to be through the retailer.. but it's really hard to find definitive info. Maybe calling Newegg or ZZF would yield useful info
