JJ-- I actually went through the "developer" questionnaire. Basically I'm clueless about this stuff but answered with what I thought were reasonable answers. They sent me an email with a password for developers and I went right to the hardware sight and ordered. I may have just lucked out.

I spent a lot of time on that. No go. Don't waste your time any more. I'd rather go to staples and use $40 coupon to get it.

Actutally the $100 rebate is not valid if you buy palm on their website. It says so on the page:

I signed up and recieved my pwd in an email immediately. I did not have a link to the hardware purchase system as my account information had to be validated. About 1 hour later, I recieved another email with more info. I then rechecked the website and a link to purchase palm devices appeared on the page. Great prices, I just have to decide which one to get (probably a Vx). I can post the emails if requested.

I guess I did not submit good enough information to be a developer. I got the first e-mail. Nothing to follow and no link to cheap prices . And I wanted a Vx to replace my IIIxe.

Great, I got in finally and the Vx is on BACKORDER -- How can PALM have its own product on BACKORDER !

Got my m100 yesterday. Sweet for the price. I think though in my case pda refers to premature developer acknowledgement.I was also able to get a rich Corinthian leather cover at my local SuperTarget for $4.94 down from $24.99.They had quite a few but as always your mileage may vary.
