I went to thier site to check out teh status of my order and unfortunatly found:
This order is on hold for backorder.

I wonder how long that will take considering a lot of ppl probably tried to get in on this deal.

I just got off of the phone with McGlen customer service, after 25 minutes on hold. I was informed that they did only have three of these items and that their computer system failed to update stock. She was very nice and cancelled my order right there, no charges were made to my credit card. She said that notifications of the cancelled orders would go out later today.

Got an e-mail said it was back order. No further info. They shouldn't allowed to place an oder when they didn't have it in stock. Any one got the order went through.

ok, what is going on? I heard about this earlier today, and couldn't find it. I could only find the $135 palm 3. What gives? Is there some deal about McGlen I need to konw about?

i think the real insult of this whole fiasco is that they have the *exact* same item for sale on the site now for $135.....whoa....i thought you were out of them?

not so, they confirmed on the phone with me that these are the exact same item as was offered for $61.50, but these were not bought at their 'special price'

good point, u may be right radio, but those were selling at the same time as the $61 palmiii's. they didn't just pull a fast one or anything. perty sure bout that. if they are on back order will we get the same $61 price when they come back in stock, or is this a situation where I should just cancel my order...

I called and they told me that they had 3 in stock at $61. They did not get enough orders to keep these in stock, so that is why they were clearing these out so cheap. The one for $130 or so is the same item, however, they are no longer stocking it, and it's basically when someone orders one, they order one speciffically for that person. The one for $61 was listed as in stock, whereas the one for $130 is listed as ships in 7-10 days. Anyway, I put in an order, got the backorder notice. I don't really expect to get it, but I'm hoping. Would make a nice replacement for my Palm Pro, which died a painful death after I walked into a corner of a desk at school :-(

Did anybody actually get this for $61? I called them and they told me that if I'd have ordered by phone instead of over the web, they wouldn't have cancelled the deal.
