I called Staples and was told the price on the CompuUSA website is wrong (there is a big dsiclaimer under the item). My local CompuUSA sells it for $329.99.

Yeah they said that to me as well and they were gonna give compusa a call to see if the price is right.
it's kinda weird that the first csr told me they were out of stock at all locations but then the second csr told me they had them but that had to be shipped from East coast.
who cares........as long as it gets to my door.

still waiting for csr to call compusa once they open at 10..............hurrrr gotta wait for one and a half hour more.

they should get many calls about this deal that might make them an easier order taker.

the csr I talked to didn't even need to call or check. she responsed quickly after I asked her to pricematch.

total came out to be around $247 plus changes.

I just called staples. CS told they didn't price match on product that over $40. However, she would try PM request for me. I have to wait for the result. Well, she didn't know about 5" TV either. Can someone post your order#?

This is a nice deal but I still think the Mc Glen PM one was better..
That is if you only want the Palm Pilot. But for some wierd reason you want a 5" B/W tv with crappy reception then I quess this would then be a better deal... BTW: This tv is going for $10 to $20 on egay...

I don't think there is such a policy that they wouldn't pricematch anything over $40.
If one doesn't want to do that for you, move over (call to get different csr). it always works.

ThaiBruin - Wow you are so lucky. So you basically got yours for free after selling the second one for $800. How did you manage to snag to at retail price? I know the demand was high immediately after launch so it's not like you just predicted it'd be hot.

I called this morning and the guy said they confirmed with compusa and it is an error on teh website. so i gave up like a chump. But i just called back and a very unfriendly CS decided to take it. What a deal. $235.18 w/tax and shipping and a FREE TV!.

Who knows, i may even keep it. (but im really out for getting an ipaq...

I just checked back with Staples. They eventually did price match me. Still, I couldn't get a TV. This time, their reason is ONLY ONE COUPON ($40 0ff) allowed. I couldn't combine two coupons at a time. Well, final $233.74 is not too bad for me.

Nongnoan, I think it's just a matter of attitude. Different csr got different perspective about how to accept order.

If a csr you dealt with didn't allow you to get free TV, then call them back to get a different csr and tell them that you want to add an item to your existing order. then tell them that you have coupon to use.

unfortunately, I heard that they were out of stock on TV. The only thing you can get for free is the Attache bag........don't know what it is, sorry.

you can always call back to modify your order.

Well my CSR made me buy $350 to get both coupons off, can't really complain. Now if I can just get Staples to let me upgrade to the Visor Prism. No damn serial ports for me.

dmk11 - Yes you can "upgrade" your Palm without receipt provided it's brand new (still shrink wrapped factory sealed never ever opened), and if you cannot find your receipt you have 30 days to "upgrade" your Palm/Visor.
