Verrrry nice, but the OD rep I spoke to on phone for the price match says OD only PMs if the other vendor's price is within 10% or $10 of OD's price! She offered to take off $10 from OD's $99.99 price to $89.99 and I tried to tell her that price is still higher than CC's $74.99 and she claimed this is their policy! It didn't matter to her that it's not listed so anywhere on their site.

What is OD's processs for PM when ordering online? The $20 coupon can't be used at the B&M, right?

I just called OD and asked about the PM guide lines. The manager at my local store is very nice and has done just about everything possible to please me. The only thing he told me about their PM was that it was for 7 days. I missed this by 2 days. Though I consider the Palm m105 worthy of the $45 that I paid for it.

I think the best one can do is buy at the $99 price with the $20 off coupon then price match to Staples (do not mention the word "web" when you call just say Staples) at the $89.99 price. I just called to do the pricematch and they said they would honor the Staples price but my order was in a step where they could not change the price in the computer so it might be best to wait to do the pricematch when you receive the product. Still $99 - $20 coupon - $25 rebate - $10 price match = ~$45 w/tax is a pretty good deal for this unit.

Damn...I just called OD and I got a knowledgeable sales rep: they knew not to price match with office supply storees. Tomorrow I'm going to my local OD and try to pricematch it there.

So, how did you show them the CC $74.99 price? Did you take a print out from the CC website with you?

What I'm looking to do is a PM PA after the sale. OD will PM for 7 days. I'm over a few days.

So, I'm gonna go in and see if they will PM to CC's price. If they do then I'm going to give them a choice:
1) PM PA of $89.98 - 74.99 = ~$15 credit
2) Sell me one at the PM and I'll return it as the first one with UPC still intact.
I'm sure the manager will opt for #2 as it's much less trouble.
That's what he did for a recent purchase.

I just showed them my shopping cart in CC.com with a palm m105 for 74.99. They even did not bother to check the price themselves, just refund me the difference. I guess someone did that before me... And about the rebate, you don't need to send in the original UPC, so you can photocopy the UPC from the box without peeling it off.

You'd better do it soon. I don't know how long the special price will last in CC.

That's within 10% PM rule at OD is bunk. I just PM a video card that was a $30 difference under $100 and they PM it. As long as it's advertised at another store and can be verified, I'm pretty sure you can get the PM. YMMV.

My PM was to CUSA. I wouldn't consider CUSA a office supply store, but I got a PM. I think it depends on the store you deal with and how the manager intreprets their PM policy.
