i ordered through the gateway accessory store instead of the necxdirect webpage.. i jsut checked my order status.. in the orders list page it says under my m515 order: See Order Detail (click on order #)

i click the order link and inside that it says Product Shipped under order status.

I thought I checked before and it said cancelled. So I dunno about this one.. when did people start getting their Product Shipped status messages?

I've had PRODUCT SHIPPED status since early Friday, I believe. I don;t think I'll be calling them for another couple of days and just wait to see what happens. Either it will show up with a tracking # and my credit card will be "charged".....or not.

According to my order status page, it says product shipped as well, but no tracking #.

Me too!!!

Dissapointing that they took so long. This was a very educational introduction to NECXDIRECT. I'd not heard of them before all this. I doubt I'll ever do business with them.

The shipment pending status was ripe for the cancellation. Mine still says product shipped, after three calls to them and them telling me it IS shipping. If it gets cancelled now...I have names and dates of people who told me it was shipping despite their mistake.

Same here, NECX, you m****r f****r!

This is the second time I encounter such "Price mistake of my a*s" thing, last time was the Dell.com's $22 digital speaker (retail was $299, get canceled after 15 days in order), was promissed that order will be shipped as soon as they catch up with all those orders. Now comes with NECXDirect.com's Palm M515. What's funny though, both were happened during my final exam weeks, fall term and winter term, respectively. Harrr, guess things are too good to be true these days.

One order cancelled, the other is still shipment pending. It is just a matter of time before they ding that one as well.

Oh well, we all knew it was a price error. To get that thrill when you get your order in is fun, some get shipped, some don't.

Well..the waiting paid off! I just called...got a tracking #, and checked. It was delivered to my home this afternoon! I am on my way home to pick it up!!!

If your order says "Product Shipped".... it HAS!

OK, folks. I am the proud owner of a new m515. If your order says product shipped, give in and call for your tracking number. Mine never showed up on the screen. By now, it's either shipped or it wont.

I consider myself very lucky on this one, and thanks to rcraig for doin in.
No sex acts. No throwing money. Just a big thanks to all in this forum.

Anyone got the winning Lottery #'s for next week?

Ok, spill it caricell.

Detail out for me exactly what you said when you spoke to necx each time. There must have been something that set you apart for an order to be shipped way after they decided to cancel all the other ones. Did you threaten them with legal action? What kind? Who did you talk to. Did you find an exec's phone number? Last but not least, give us your order number. If nothing else you can give us proof to show to a CSR that one did in fact ship.

I got lucky, thats all. I didnt say anything special, I just followed the progression of my order on their site and after two days of it sitting at "obtaining credit authorization", i called and spoke to "Jason" at ext 10556. He put me on hold forever, and then came back and said my product would ship that day. He explained that it was an obvious mistake, but that mine (and I assume a small number of others) went through the order system and made it to the warehouse. He said that since it went that far, it would ship and "Product Shipped" would appear shortly on the net screen. It did. I called a couple of days later and spoke to a "Pete", who said it was shipping that day. I called the next day and got Pete again, who said it didnt ship because of problems at their St. Pete warehouse, but that it would ship the next day (yesterday). It did. I got it today. My order # was 657816077.

Geesh..I dont have to prove to anyone here that I got the unit.

You want the serial # off the unit too? You want to come to my house to SEE it?
If your order status isnt "Product Shipped", dont even waste your time, unless you want to file a complaint with the BBB. If it IS Product Shipped and you want to PM me, feel free.

Congrats caricell! I was told the same thing about a few M515s slipping through when I called about my order last week. However, I was not one of the lucky ones.

If the order # is sequential, then mine was much earlier than caricell (#65759xxxx). It was canceled that night. I think it was random. If anyone else slipped thru, they may not be posting.

Congrats to caricell... I envy you...

That is interesting my order number 474297xxx. I ordered from the Gateway Accesorcies store did the ones getting through order from the accessories store or directly from NECX?

Just figuring out for NEXt time.....

i ordered from gateway as well, thinking it might be less likely to be overloaded w/ orders my order was 474328XXX

i dont see how it coudl be a random thing unless necx decided to fulfill some orders just to placate the community....i remember buy.com once doing something similar with the monitor snafu a few years back (they had 171 monitors in stock so shipped them randomly in a crapshoot...they informed everyone who had purchased the mispriced monitor beforehand though)

or maybe calling and inquiring about shipping status actually worked

I don't think it had anything to do with the order # and the sequence in which it reached necx or gateway. It was either:

a) Random
b) Something got pushed through the FIRST time I called, when I spoke to "Jason" and he apologized for my order being held up and offered "enhanced" shipping to get it going. I don't know what possessed him, but I wasn't about to ask.

I also dont think it mattered whether you ordered through gateway or necx, because at least one other person in this forum who has contacted me has "Shipped" status, and he ordered through Gateway.

I didn't do nuffin. ;-)

Well, I just couldn't wait any longer and finally called the Accessory Store. Explained that I had ordered a Palm last week that apparently was mispriced, but that my order status showed shipped. He put me on hold for about 3-4 minutes and came back to tell me that the order in fact had been canceled. Oh well!

Congrats to anyone who did get one!
