<< Check out this Cnet review of the m515. Then, look to the right of the picture. They list Gateway.com (Necx) as having it for $48.95. How many different prices did Necx make up to draw visitors to their site? >>
Ya, they're on CNet's list a venders at 48 bucks. Jeez, how incompetent could they be. CNet's reporting a $48 price, which I doubt they made the mistake as gateway's was found wrong, and gateway's website sold it to us at $38.
You know, that CNet price might be considered an "advertisement" and Gateway now might be subject to the false advertising and bait'n'switch provisions of some state's consumer protection laws.
I was reading my states guidelines and I found this, "If you respond to an ad and find the advertised goods are sold out, you have the right to a raincheck allowing you to buy the goods later at the sale price. You don't have this right if the ad mentions the number of goods left, or if the store is selling seasonal or clearance merchandise, and the ad clearly states that no rainchecks will be given."
Go have some fun folks.
