Panalo L1A Fans, $4.50

I found some Panaflo 12v fans here that I'm pretty sure are L1A. They do not have connectors on the wires though, and do not have RPM sensors. The sire also has good deals on other fans, they have some Sunons for $1.00 i think, and maybe some NMBs.

I'd guess they're the two pin variety. Just file off the little nub and you're good to go.

could someone give me a quick rundown on 2, 3 and 4 pin connectors
I'm assuming you can pick necessary access. at someplace like Radio Shack
but is there anytime you could get a fan which you couldn't use (assuming size is same)
Are all fans 12 volt?

According to that site those fans are 32dB which is not at silent as the L1A's.

MPJA is great. Just keep in mind that they only sell the H models which are high output. They shipped quickly and bubble wrapped all the fans. Just hook these bad boys up to a sunbeam rheobus and your good to go...

I called and they are out of stock FAN 1003. Asked if they would be getting them back in stock and she said "they were purchased as excess stock" so sounds like they may or may not get addional stock.

SVC.COM also sells those adapters. A 3 pin to 4 pin adapter for $0.50.

KD actually sells the connector kits(empty plastic connector with seperate metal pins), the ones at svc are good also but you have to solder the wires...

3 or more fans at 32 dBa is more than I can stand, so the H1A fans for $2.95 aren't that great a deal to me. You could 7-volt them but I'm sure they won't move as much air as the plain L1As at 12V.

Anyway, if you call BGMicro they'll give you a volume discount starting at quantities of 10.

The last character on the Panaflo model number indicates the speed of the fan which is also an indicator of the noise level. The higher the speed, the higher the noise level.

L = Low
M = Medium
H = High
U = Ultra High
V = Variable

Check with Quickar. They have the L1As for $4.00 each. I purchased 15 of them a few weeks back and I'll need to purchase another 10 or so for my friends. Great people, excellent service!

It seems to me one of the main reasons the low fans have a low db
