Gee, why don't you freakin' read the post I was responding to. You also may want to read the previous posts I made.

I'm going to give you some advise, work more on keeping your post count down. I'd appreciate it. Thx.

From what I've been reading, plasma sales have declined in the last few months in favor of new faster LCD's. They're doing 40+" LCD's with 8ms screens and higher resolutions. Opinions?

That is totally not true. Plasma is top selling for 42in and above. Plasma definitly have the best black levels bar non and just look awesome. I would never trade in my 50in plasma for a LCD. Panasonic is one of the best makers of plasmas until you get into the elite brands like pioneer elite. I have an LG/Zenith unit and its just awesome.

Yes, plasma is the top selling right now for 42" and above, but their sales are declining in favor of new generation LCD's in the last few months (didn't I just say that?). I'm thinking that LCD's are going to eventually take over due to their benefits (lighter, more rugged, brighter, etc). Check out the new products coming out from Sharp and Samsung and read a few of the tech journals to see what I'm talking about.

Question, where is your data on this? I'd like to see some market trend reports across all major retail sales for Plasma and LCD.

Sounds to me like you believe anything that someone on the internet tells you. Lets see the data to back it up.

DLPs are cheaper up front, but down the line it starts to even out due the cost of bulb replacement.

This set has true 1080p HDMI inputs, game mode to remove lag, 10-bit color processing, and isn't super-thin but is under 18" deep and under 80 lbs. so it can go on an existing stand if you have one.

I only see this set for $2499. Is there a coupon or something?

No...No... and No.

Check avsforum.com if you want to know more.
I take it, it's gonna be difficult to explain this to AT forum since most members are PC minded.

Did u know that 60" LCD is more expensive than 60" plasma?

LCD will rule 42" and below, while Plasma (or more likely, SED) will rule 50" and above.

Despite the price differential many posters on avs will tell you that the panasonic plasmas are still better.

No they won't. They still recognize Pioneer Elite and Fujitsu as the top plasmas. Panasonic comes in as the best if price is a concern.
If you're talking about Pio to Panny, you better go do some reading on the AVS forums again. Panasonic is the overwhelming favorite.

As far as Fujitsu, while many claim they are the "best" regardless of cost, they are grossly over priced with only arguably better PQ than Panasonic. Also, service and reliability issues with Fujitsu contradict their obscene price tag.

WTF is with you people? Why don't YOU do some reading at AVS. I'm over there quite a bit and yes, Panasonic plasma are not regarded as the best. They are regarded as best for the cost. They are extremely popular because they offer a great PQ for a reasonable price.

Pioneer Elite and Fujitsu offer the best PQ. Whether they are worth the extra cost, well that is up to the individual that is going to fork out the cash. But if you are talking about absolute best plasma regardless of price, it's the Elite and Fujitsu.

And Pioneer looks like they will keep their crown with their newly introduced plasma in Japan. Look for it in June.
