The link below is for the 16X, a few days ago the 12X was posted for 69, it's an okay deal.. the cool looking DVD. Comes with software decoder.. PowerDVD... enjoy
Great Deal... i paid well over 100 for my 10x a while back... my question is.. what is the rational for these high DVD speeds... there is 0 software support for this damn thing which i am quite dissapointed in and movies play at 2x anyway. Im guessing for the improved cd-rom read capabilities? I'll have to pick one up for a spare system.
Hi, if you see the manufacturing part number, it is the same. so i guess the one that from comp geeks is 16x too. The only difference is on the SOFTWARE. It is good deal to get software decoder for additional $10.00. But how much is the shipping cost?
Compgeeks charge me $6.00 for UPS ground. googlegear charge $7.99, but they charge $5.00 HANDLING FEE per order.
I dont think any of these are deals.. why dont you go to www.pricewatch.com and you can find a pioneer 16x for around the same amount... this is definently not a hot deal.
I have ordered this one from M-Tech computers for $59 + $11 (S/H) on Monday and waiting to receive it. They have pulled it from their site yesterday afternoon.

hey doeboy you whiny bastard, why don't you start posting hot deals yourself before you bitch and crap in other people's thread. if you don't think it's a hot deal, nobody cares. but to discourage a person from informing us of what he thinks is a hot deal is being a complete dumbass, got that? and fyi, the cheapest stores on pricewatch aren't entirely trustworthy, usually getting 1-2 on resellerratings while google has a fairly decent rating. now stop your bitching until you can contribute.
forcesho, keep on posting hot deals, don't let whiny fools discourage you.
I've ordered one from M-tech, should be here shortly. They are both the same drives, same spec and item #. if you goto compgeeks and scoll down there is a link for panasonic website. they display it as a 16x drive. The reason i didnt buy from comp geek was because they have bad reseller ratings. It's true that i've had good transaction with them before, but there seems to be lot of mess if something goes wrong. so im not taking chances. Also Mtech was cheaper little bit and I already have DVD software (as most videocards come with em now a days) that came with my Radeon. GL ppl. anyone have a review on this drive? thanx
nero ur doing the same thing .. just pm him or something.
oi... freakin great eh? this is what i got on email.. i thought i made it.. guess not?.. i guess i might have to go with compgeeks? or i can prolly wait..

Hi,
We received your order but we have sold out of this item (Panasonic 16X
DVD). There are no pending orders and our distributor does not have them
right now. Therefore, this order had been cancelled and your credit card
had never been charged.
Thanks

M-TECH COMPUTERS
Did any of you receive the DVD rom from M-tech or others? How does it perform?
IM SO MAD! i could have purchased the other Deal at the time if they didnt send the order confirmation. they sent it much too late and now i cant find any good deals. (i would have gotten 16x drive for $70 including shipping!! ) any other good DVD deals?
BTW This drive is not Region Free and Can't be made region free
If you goto www.firmware.com.bi you can see that this isn't a really good deal after all.
DVD movies play at 1x speed..
I still have my Toshiba 1x DVD 4x cdrom.. plays moves no problems..
I also have pioneer 10x that whines when I have cd in the tray..
