bebekarin - I would recommend reading the eBates FAQ, if you haven't already. It should answer a lot of your questions.

How do I know if I get the rebate from ebates??
Assuming you placed the order correctly check your eBates balance in 2-3 days, you should see a credit for your Mercata order, remember eBates checks are only sent out quarterly (every 3 months) and your minimum balance has to be at least $5. I've been an eBates member for 1.5 years and have always received my checks (unlike PointClick which still owes me $23.xx).

eBates isn't an instant discount, it's a rebate which you will receive after placing your order in the form of a check.

If you begin using eBates and referring new customers you won't believe how much you will get back. I've referred over 200 people to eBates through my deals web site and my average 3 month eBates check is at least $150, hey it pays for my cell phone bill on it's own.

I went with the Toshiba for my Dad for Christmas! I've had the Toshiba 3109 for a year now and it works great! Is going to work even better after this week, with my new WEGA 32"

Plus I didn't want to have to mess with a mail in rebate, for around $105 after ebate, it is a STEAL!

Can someone please clear this up about the built in decoder. You only need a decoder on either the receiver or the dvd to hear good sound right. If you have the receiver with built a built in decoder is the one on the dvd player a waste? thanks in advance.

Here's a 2nd YES for you.
You can either buy a Dolby Digital 5.1 Receiver or get a DVD player with built in decoding AND a Receiver that is Digital Ready.
Having both is a waste of circuitry, but still works fine.
