Panasonic DVD-RV32 DVD player for $59.94 shipped from Amazon.com after coupon (Requires VISA Application) and rebate

After researching DVD players, I purchased a Panasonic DVD-RV32K from Amazon.com for $59.94 with shipping.
I found on the first page when visiting amazon.com a promotional offer for a $30 off certificate when you apply for an Amazon.com Platinum Visa Card online. You can use it immediately after being approved instanly online, if you qualify. (Just a note, it took me a few attempts before it would accept my application.)
After I applied and was accepted, I chose a DVD-RV32K DVD player which was $109.94. I picked my new Amazon Visa card as my payment option and recieved $30 off my order. This works on any purchase over $30.
Then there is a $20 manufacturer rebate for the DVD-RV32 making the total $59.94.

I just checked Amazon and the offer is back up to $30 today. They keep changing it every day from $20 to $30. Also, there is no annual fee.

Also, there is talk of a $5 off coupon code for Amazon on FW. I would be nice to know if you could stack it with this offer to get the dvd player for $54.94. FW LINK

I used to take advantage of alot of offers linked to getting new charge cards until I found out that your total credit limit available (even if you never use it) is a factor in your credit rating.

Probably not a big deal for the majority of people, but just a heads up for anyone who might be marginal or sensitive as far as overall credit rating. If you ever do have a problem, might want to formally cancel the old accounts you don't use.

This is a great DVD player. I picked mine up from Circuit City as an "open box" item for $69.99. The player was in mint condition - no scratches and everything was present except for the box. I didn't qualify for the rebate because the UPC symbol was not present, but that's not a big deal for me.
