As the sets age they are set to slowly increase the black levels.

Is there any way to reverse this? That would explain my set's very lousy black levels.
As my set has aged too, I found that disabling "pixel shake" which basically works to prevent burn-in, stops the annoying pink dot artifacts from appearing, at the expense of possibly damaging the display.
